Pedro Antunes talks about the job sharing model

News

Pedro Antunes, Partner and Coordinator of the Labour Department of CCA Law Firm, spoke to Advocatus about the job sharing model organizational work, which facilitates the reconciliation of work and personal life. In most countries, this reality is not yet legislated, but there are already territories like the United Kingdom, Hungary, Slovakia and Italy that have adopted labour advances and adapted their legislation.

Portuguese labour legislation remains "very conservative with regard to the relaxation of labour relations and the adoption of any organizational work model that undermines the principle of stability" declares the Partner. According to Pedro Antunes, when drawing up the rules governing this matter,  "the main difficulties are related to the application of specific regimes to the employment contract, such as the absence and leave regime, but also in terms of the form of assessment of the individual performance of workers working under this regime".
