If you are an SME and want to protect a new trademark or design in the EU, there are funding programs that can help.
The SME Fund within the "Ideas Powered for Business" framework is a 20 million euros subsidy program to help Europe's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access intellectual property rights. Supported by the European Commission and EUIPO, this fund is targeted at companies that want to develop their IP strategies and protect their IP rights, at national, regional or EU level.
Covering IP pre-screening services ("IP scanning") and/or applications for trademarks and design registration, this fund can help you boost your business, with each SME eligible for up to 1500 EUR in reimbursement.
