Ana Rocha, CCA Ontier's Associate Senior of the Data Protection team, explained to Observador the data protection rules that will change on May 25th, when the new General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) is fully applicable. The processing of personal data in the digital age is an increasingly important issue and is enshrined as a fundamental right of European citizens.
'The main objective of the RGPD is to ensure that holders regain control of their data, so it is important for people to know and exercise, where necessary, the rights that the Regulation provides for, namely access, rectification or deletion [of data personal]', says Ana Rocha.
