Catarina Limpo Serra talks about Law 4.0

News

Catarina Limpo Serra, Coordinator of the CCA's Litigation and Arbitration Department, writes an opinion piece for Advocatus on the transition in Portugal from traditional law to 4.0 law. In the United States and the United Kingdom, Law 4.0 is so developed that there are law firms providing legal services exclusively online. In Portugal, there is still a long way to go.

"This transition also raises relevant ethical and deontological questions which should be discussed: the role of the lawyer in companies, the replacement of professionals by machines, the (im) personality of the lawyer-client relationship; the dehumanization of the person", underlines the Coordinator.
