"Age rating: for people over 65 years" is the new opinion piece of José Pedro Barros, Associate of the Tax Department at CCA ONTIER, for Jornal Económico, on the new IRS tax exemption regime, introduced by the approval of the State Budget Law for 2019.
This new regime was specifically designed for taxpayers in retirement or who are 65 years of age or older. "In order to benefit from the exclusion of taxation, income must be reinvested in full or in part within six months, at the time of acquisition of an insurance contract, an individual subscription to an open pension fund or the contribution to the public funded scheme", explains José Pedro Barros.
