Marta Duarte explains what it's like to have a career at CCA

News

With a 14-year career at CCA Law Firm, Marta Duarte joined the firm as an intern in 2007 and, in 2019, she became a Partner in the Litigation and Arbitration Department, where she focuses her practice in the areas of civil and criminal litigation and abuse of press freedom. In an interview with ECO-Advocatus, Marta Duarte explains how she has made a career in the firm since her internship.

"From the very first day, I realized that I was going to be able to ‘get my hands dirty’, which was very important because one of the fears of any intern is that he will be asked to do administrative work, read cases, and research case law. On the other hand, the team spirit that is experienced in the office was also noticeable from the start", says the CCA Partner.

Asked what differentiates CCA from other law firms, Marta Duarte emphasizes that "CCA has a great added value that has never changed with its growth over the last few years: the team spirit and mutual aid between all, from partners to interns and associates - and it's a spirit we seek to cultivate and instill in the youngest. Another great advantage of CCA is the ability to innovate across the entire office. Over the years, CCA has never stopped innovating, both internally and in client advice and investing in new areas, which have largely contributed to our growth".
