Alena practises in Real Estate Law, advising national and international clients on complex property transactions and development projects within a multidisciplinary framework. She provides comprehensive legal support throughout the entire lifecycle of real estate projects - from structuring and promotion to commercialisation and ongoing management.
 
Her experience includes conducting and coordinating due diligences, advising on asset and share deals involving real estate, negotiating and implementing purchase and sale transactions, structuring the creation and transfer of property rights, drafting and negotiating commercial leases (with particular focus on office leases), sale-and-leaseback transactions, and advising on construction and related procurement matters. She regularly drafts, reviews and negotiates contractual documentation and prepares legal opinions, ensuring risk mitigation and full compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework.
 
Alena has solid experience in real estate asset management, providing ongoing legal support in the management and optimisation of property portfolios, with a focus on compliance, operational efficiency and value enhancement. She is also experienced in the corporate aspects frequently associated with the structuring and implementation of real estate investments, including the organisation and governance of investment vehicles.
 
Recognised for her rigorous yet pragmatic approach, Alena combines technical excellence with commercial awareness, delivering agile and solution-driven advice aligned with her clients’ strategic objectives.

Alena joined CCA’s Real Estate practice as a Principal Associate in 2026.
 
She began her professional career in 2016 with an internship in the tax and income department of an international financial institution. In the early stages of her career, she also worked as a finance assistant in two UK-based organisations, including an international youth development non-profit and a specialist recruitment firm.
 
After returning to Lisbon, she completed her traineeship at a leading Portuguese law firm in 2018, where she first developed her focus on real estate law. In 2021, she joined a national law firm as an associate, subsequently moving to the legal department of an international network within a multinational consultancy group, where she practised until 2023.
 
Between 2023 and 2024, she served as in-house counsel at an internationally active property management and development company, closely advising on transactions and asset management matters.
 
In 2024, she returned to private practice, joining the Legal team of one of the Big Four firms in a multidisciplinary environment, where she was promoted to Senior Associate in 2025.
