With over 20 years of experience, Ana advises national and international companies on the implementation and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and is recognised as one of the most experienced practitioners in this field in Portugal.
She has been involved in end-to-end compliance projects, from initial assessments to the development of internal policies, risk management, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), incident response, and international data transfers. Her integrated, technical and operational approach allows her to tailor legal solutions to the specific needs of sectors such as telecommunications, e-commerce, healthcare, IT and digital services.
Drawing on her expertise, she was invited to support an international telecommunications operator through a secondment, assisting with the implementation of GDPR in Portugal and continuing to advise on privacy and data protection matters thereafter.
Known for her strong communication and training skills, she is the author of several articles on privacy and a regular speaker at conferences and events focused on data protection and digital regulation. Her work is distinguished by a precise, hands-on and strategic approach, contributing to a culture of compliance and the creation of sustainable value through responsible data management.

Ana joined CCA in 2006 and is currently a Senior Associate in the Privacy and Data Protection team within the TMT practice area.
She began her career at two other law firms, where she advised clients in the areas of intellectual property and TMT. Drawing on her consolidated experience in data protection, Ana was invited to join the legal team of an international telecommunications operator on secondment, providing legal support for the implementation of the GDPR in Portugal.
Recognised for her communication and training skills, Ana is regularly invited to lead masterclasses, courses and specialised seminars.
