With more than 10 years of experience, Maria focuses her practice on Corporate and Commercial Law, with particular emphasis on corporate restructuring and corporate governance. With a strategic approach and business-oriented vision, she advises national and international companies on the design of efficient corporate structures, the reshaping of governance models, internal reorganizations, and M&A transactions.
Recognized for her precision and strategic insight, Maria combines a deep knowledge of corporate legal frameworks with a practical understanding of clients’ needs, offering solutions tailored to the reality of each organization. Her work is centered on creating value through the legal optimization of corporate structures, ensuring both legal soundness and alignment with stakeholders’ strategic objectives.
She also has experience advising corporate groups and family-owned businesses, supporting them in internal reorganizations and succession planning with sensitivity to the demanding legal and human contexts involved.

Maria joined CCA in 2024 and is currently a Senior Associate in the Corporate practice.
She began her career at a Lisbon-based law firm, where she completed her traineeship between 2007 and 2011 and subsequently stayed on as an associate until 2012.
From 2013 to 2022, Maria lived and worked in Luxembourg, holding positions of increasing responsibility in multinational companies in the financial and real estate sectors. Her roles included serving as Senior Associate and Assistant Vice President within a European platform supporting investment operations for a global group. Her work focused on governance, compliance, and international transactions, advising investment funds and vehicles.
Between 2022 and 2024, upon returning to Lisbon, she joined the Corporate/M&A department of a Lisbon law firm, where she advised on significant restructurings and corporate transactions.
