With extensive experience in Corporate Law, Startup Law, and Sustainability & Innovation, Rita leads the firm’s sustainability strategy, ensuring the effective integration of ESG principles across both organisational culture and the legal services delivered. She works closely with clients to define and implement sustainable development strategies, combining strong technical expertise with a pragmatic, impact-driven approach.
 
She plays a pivotal role in identifying growth opportunities, bridging innovation, business, and sustainability through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and internal and external working groups. Throughout her career, she has led projects that bring together diverse areas of expertise, fostering collaborative solutions aligned with evolving market challenges.
 
Rita also oversees CCA’s strategic partnerships, strengthening collaborative networks with clients, institutional partners, and the wider business ecosystem. Her background in Corporate and Startup Law, combined with her experience mentoring projects and founders, enables her to understand business realities and deliver legal and strategic solutions that support sustainable and long-term growth.

Currently serving as Director of Sustainability and Business Development, Rita joined CCA in 2005 and has built her career within the firm, progressing from the Corporate Law practice - where she acted as managing associate - to the creation and leadership of the Startinnovation Team, a group dedicated to entrepreneurship. She later transitioned into management roles, serving as Director of Innovation and Knowledge.
 
In parallel, Rita has been actively involved in academia as a guest lecturer in Master’s and LL.M. programmes in Corporate Law and Startup Law at several higher education institutions. She also participates in multiple incubation and acceleration programmes, where she mentors entrepreneurs and early-stage companies.
