The transposition of the Pay Transparency Directive is approaching, bringing new requirements for companies in relation to how remuneration is defined and communicated.
In an article published in RH Magazine, Camila Marques de Queiroz, Principal Associate in the Labour practice at CCA Law Firm, analyses the implications of this new framework, which aims to strengthen pay equality through enhanced transparency and improved access to information for employees.
In this context, she notes that “if an employee does not know how much a colleague performing the same role earns, it will be difficult for them to react to potential pay discrimination.”
The article highlights that the Directive introduces new obligations, particularly in recruitment processes, access to pay information and the review of internal job evaluation and classification systems, requiring companies to prepare in advance to ensure compliance.
