The evolution of the COVID-19 disease in Portugal has led to a succession of measures being taken in response to problems arising from this pandemic.
As far as documents and visas related to staying in national territory are concerned, although the content of the diploma that comes into force today is not yet known, the Portuguese government has assured, in a Council of Ministers Communication dated June 30, 2022, that documents and visas related to staying in national territory whose validity would expire on June 30, 2022 (due to successive extensions) will be accepted until December 31, 2022, as long as the holder proves that he/she has already made an appointment for the respective renewal.
