Martim Bouza Serrano


Martim is Partner and the Head of the TMT & IP Department since 2019 and handles Tech, Privacy and other TMT related matters. In recent years he has provided advice to clients on matters related to privacy and data protection, with a special focus on the New General Data Protection Regulation.

He has a solid experience in civil and criminal litigation in the TMT area and he is highly experienced in media, namely in all matters relating to the defence of the freedom of expression and information, as well as in matters related to privacy, marketing, social media and Internet.

Martim has been involved in many GDPR national and cross-border implementation projects and broader TMT issues related to technology, digital media, marketing and advertising. He often advises and counsels tech companies on matters relating to software contracts, namely, regarding the ownership, licensing, acquisition, design, development, distribution, marketing, development, use, outsourcing or maintenance of Software.

In 2021, he joined the IADE University to teach the discipline of Law and Ethics in Marketing and Advertising.
