Eduardo is a Senior Consultant in CCA's TMT practice, having joined the firm in April 2022. He has a PhD in Law from the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University and a Post-Doctorate from the Department of Science, Technology and Society of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), of which he is a Guest Lecturer and head of the "Governance of Digitalisation, Data Protection and Artificial Intelligence" module.
He is a Professor at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon and is the head of IT-related subjects such as "Big Data & Law". At the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) in São Paulo, Brazil, he is in charge of Law and Technology and Data Protection matters, as well as courses on Algorithm Governance.
He is a Cybersecurity specialist by the Portuguese National Cybersecurity Academy and has worked as a Partner at Demarest Advogados in Brazil, heading the "Intellectual Property" and "Privacy, Technology and Cybersecurity" areas.
His has a solid experience in complex information security and data governance cases involving multinational companies in the United States, Latin America and Europe, as well as in providing legal advice on highly complex strategic cases involving public and private entities, particularly in the implementation of award-winning smart city projects.
